Nature’s Creed

Nature’s Creed

I believe in the brook, as it wanders
from the hillside into glade;
I believe in the breeze as it whispers
when evening’s shadows fade.
I believe in the roar of the river
as it dashes from high cascade;
I believe in the cry of the tempest
‘mid the thunder’s cannonade.
I believe in the light of shining
stars; in the sun and moon;
in the flash of lightning-
in the night bird’s croon.
I believe in the faith of flowers;
I believe in the rock and sod;
For in all of these appeareth clear
the handwork of God.

Springs Embrace

In the heart of spring’s embrace,
Where sunlight dances, shadows race,
A tapestry of colors blooms,
In fragrant whispers, nature’s tunes.

Delicate petals, soft and bright,
Daffodils cheer in morning light,
Tulips stand in regal rows,
Their silken skirts in breezes’ flow.

The roses blush in crimson hues,
A lover’s kiss in morning dew,
While violets shyly hide away,
In corners where the bunnies play.

Sunflowers stretch with faces high,
Mirroring the endless sky,
Their golden crowns, a sunlit cheer,
A symbol of the warm half-year.

Lavender sways, a calming scent,
In wisps of purple, time is spent,
Bees hum their tune, a busy crew,
In gardens kissed by morning’s dew.

Whimsical daisies, white and pure,
Invite us in to laughter’s lure,
A symphony in every hue,
A palette forged of nature’s view.

Oh, how the garden softly glows,
In every petal, love bestows,
A fleeting dance, a sweet refrain,
In flowers’ grace, we’ll meet again.
